I was taught to recreate art from your favorite artists as you are already inspired. Inspiration Louise Numina of bluethumb.com.au “Bush Medicine Leaves – Healing Leaves.”
Acrylic paint from Michaels, on Black Canvas. Try it for yourself, no matter your level of artistry.
Also big time management tip, use any medium. Doodle with a pen, pencil, markers, or crayon. Use one piece of copy paper, or a notebook, notepad, napkin, paper towel, or even your phone.
Get some empty jars. Spaghetti sauce jars are great. Get a set of inexpensive paint brushes at Michael’s or Joann’s fabric store. Get some tubes of acrylic paint, primary colors are great to start with and packs of canvas from Michael’s or other arts and crafts store. Cover your area with Newspaper, put on an old button down shirt or smock.
Pour water into your jar or jars. Let your paint brushes soak there. Wipe with paper towel. Old saucers can be used as a palette, so can the tops of jars or purchase. If you don’t like too much clean up, use glass palettes. Either way, if you let your paint harden, it’s easy to remove. Or clean immediately after use. Begin by painting art you like or create a new design.
If none of those options are inspiring, you can always grab a coloring book from you local supermarket. Colored pencils work great with coloring books and the medicinal, de-stressing uses have been discovered…
